How it Felt 03:00
There's a road that will lead you back home. How my bones grow, I am standing on my own for the first time. I am proud and I am strong, but I need your help sometimes. Skin stretches to encompass the memory of a scar. Just like time, I've been wondering where you are, and all those parties never got me very far in the end. Now I'm trying to tell a story. I need your help. I remember all the names, but not how it felt. Breathe your grace into me, because I am incomplete. This story is my story. I'm not sure who to believe. Should I follow my eyes, or should I believe that my meaning is the meaning that is as deep as the sea.

An Anchor 03:01
I've got a reason to feel something. Even when I don't feel nothing but down. There is no reason to feel lonesome even when you're on your own. Close your eyes. We'll make believe. Come closer now, and find some comfort here. What a wayward soul. Do you know you can still go home? There is a reason for an anchor even if you've never strayed too far from the shore. We've got a reason to sing the same songs. Those same songs we sing, and sing again. I hope you know the words. Come closer now, and find your comfort here. We've got different blood. Brothers as far as I'm concerned.

I searched for you in an empty picture frame, in the space between a subway railing, in the eyes of a girl, one I barely knew. If your eyes search for mine, when I'm alone at night. Just know that I am trying to see your grace in the dark. I searched for you in a book of loose leaf paper, in the ink bled black on all of the blank pages, in the faces of a close, close friend: would you look at me now? I can barely see, so I'll have to feel. My arms outstretched towards the sky. To realize, the love I'm trying to find has been inside me all along. And I searched for you in the leaves of all the tallest trees, but you were nowhere to be found, so I washed my hands in the river. Take these counterfeit coins and a love so incomplete. Could you ever love someone like me? Thought I heard a rumor of your whisper so soft upon the wind. Are you coming back around again? And if you are, I swear I will change my bad posture, my crooked ways. I swear I will change.

Sole Heir 03:07
It takes a lot of courage to admit exactly where you are. You can't recognize the pain without some joy seeping through. When we lift our heads to hear it: a song sung by some angel to here. We will know. We will go home, despite which seeds we sow. And our hearts are the same, I am the sole heir to your name. You were the only one to show me that there's beauty in not being sad. It takes a lot of courage to know nobody gives a damn. Looks can kill that's why I close my eyes, but when we lift our heads to hear it like some spirit moving through the room. After the show, we will go home, because that's all we know. And our blood is the same, I am the sole heir to your pain. You were the only one to show me that there's a beauty in not being sad all the time.

Now I Know 05:16
Well, I swear that I will change my outlaw ways. I know that they will take me down a road I don't want to lead: of cheating and lying just to get ahead, so I swear to you right here and now that I'll never ride again. Well, I broke my promise to you. Take these shaky hands as evidence. Sometimes we both believe there's not much left to make them good again. God gave me this field of flowers just for me to tend, but all I've ever wanted to do was to pick them one by one. Scatter those petals to the wind. All that color and the irony of how I couldn't begin to comprehend the love that's there inside of me, but no these hands were made for more. These hands were made to hold and nurture and love, and to protect: this garden that I own, my friends, I swear I love you so, and my parents that say they understand even when they don't. Thank you for not giving up on me or the fact that I haven't been myself. Thank you because now I found a way to be good again. If I was a ghost then I was once alive, and if we stop now, there's so much still left inside. My dearest friends. My family too, and what a love I've found. Now I know. There is a world that we cannot see, though we run so far and wide. There is a world that we cannot see and a road to lead us back home, I know.
